The Boyz’s Juyeon Has A New Agency To Expand This Specific Side Of Him

THE BOYZ’s Juyeon is officially beginning a new chapter.

Ace Factory announced on August 24 that it has signed an exclusive contract with the singer, saying it plans to support his expansion into acting while continuing to respect his identity as a member of THE BOYZ. The move is significant because Ace Factory is primarily known for managing actors, including Lee Jong-suk, Lee Jun-hyuk, Yeom Hye-ran, Yoo Jae-myung and Choi Dae-hoon.

For Juyeon, that makes the direction of his individual career increasingly clear.

Ace Factory wants to develop Juyeon as an actor

In its announcement, the company highlighted Juyeon’s stage presence and emotional expressiveness, saying it believes his potential can grow in “the new field of acting.”

Juyeon has already taken his first steps onscreen.

He made his official acting debut through the short film Young-young, which was selected for a special screening at the 2025 Jeonju International Film Festival. Until now, however, his individual career has been much more closely associated with performance, fashion and variety appearances.

Signing with an actor-heavy agency suggests acting could now become a much bigger part of his schedule.

He is not leaving THE BOYZ

The agency was also unusually direct about one point.

Ace Factory said it respects THE BOYZ as Juyeon’s “root” and artistic identity and intends to support both his group activities and his development as an actor.

That fits the new structure THE BOYZ announced earlier this month.

On August 6, Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, Q, Sunwoo and Eric confirmed that they had finalized an agreement to continue promoting together as a nine-member group under a new label system. Each member is free to sign with a separate company for individual work.

In other words: Ace Factory manages Juyeon. THE BOYZ still continues.

The new system follows a major agency dispute

The arrangement comes after a difficult period for the group.

Nine members of THE BOYZ, excluding New, moved to terminate their contracts with ONE HUNDRED earlier this year, citing issues including unpaid settlements and a breakdown of trust.

In April, the Seoul Central District Court granted their request for an injunction suspending the effectiveness of those exclusive contracts. ONE HUNDRED disputed the members’ interpretation of the ruling and said it would continue contesting the matter.

The nine members have since chosen a “separate but together” model: one structure for THE BOYZ, different agencies for individual careers.

Juyeon is not the first. Younghoon signed with Namoo Actors, while Sunwoo joined hip-hop label AT AREA.

Fans are already imagining his first major drama role

The first fan reactions have focused heavily on acting.

In THE BOYZ’s Reddit community, fans celebrated the Ace Factory news and said they were excited to see Juyeon develop as an actor. One fan joked that they had long imagined him as the male lead of a historical K-drama.

That kind of reaction is not surprising. At 28, Juyeon already has nearly a decade of experience performing in front of cameras, along with a strong fashion profile and a screen debut behind him.

The question now is what kind of role Ace Factory will choose to establish him. No acting project has been announced yet. But after signing with one of Korea’s more recognizable actor management companies, Juyeon’s next chapter looks increasingly likely to happen somewhere beyond the concert stage.
