Actor Park Bo-gum is set to make his animation dubbing debut through the Korean release of the animated film ‘David.’
The film, which has already opened in North America, has confirmed its Korean voice cast ahead of its domestic release. Park Bo-gum will voice David, joined by Jang Gwang, Cha Ji-yeon, Song Jun-seok, and Si Young-jun.

‘David’ follows the journey of David, an ordinary shepherd boy whose life begins with the song of his mother and eventually leads him to a fateful confrontation with the giant Goliath.
The story traces how David, once an unknown young shepherd, comes face to face with the destiny of becoming king.
Park Bo-gum will voice the title character, portraying both David’s innocence and his moments of bold determination. Known for dramas such as ‘Reply 1988,’ ‘Love in the Moonlight,’ ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines,’ and ‘Good Boy,’ Park is expected to bring his clear and steady voice to the role.

This project marks Park Bo-gum’s first time dubbing for an animated film.
Interest is also growing around how he will handle the film’s musical elements. Park previously proved his vocal ability through the musical ‘Let Me Fly,’ raising expectations for his performance in ‘David,’ where musical numbers play an important role.

The Korean release of ‘David’ will also feature a strong supporting voice cast.
Jang Gwang will voice the prophet Samuel, who guides David. Cha Ji-yeon will play Nitzevet, David’s mother, who gives him courage and faith.
Voice actor Song Jun-seok will take on the role of King Saul, who grows jealous of David, while Si Young-jun will voice Goliath, the feared giant at the center of the story’s most iconic confrontation.

The animated film ‘David,’ Park Bo-gum’s first animation dubbing project, will open in theaters across Korea on July 15.
