NCT DREAM is turning its tenth-anniversary year into the beginning of another chapter.

SM Entertainment announced on October 16 that the group will release its sixth studio album, DREAM AFTER DREAM, on November 9 at 6 p.m. KST.

The 10-track record includes lead single “Boogie Woogie.” Preorders open October 16 through online and physical music retailers.

Looking Back at Ten Years, Then Moving Forward

According to SM’s album description, DREAM AFTER DREAM reflects on the time the group has spent together and its musical development over the past decade.

Its focus also extends beyond that retrospective. The album presents the members’ determination to pursue new ambitions after the dreams they have already achieved.

That idea gives the title its meaning: one fulfilled dream becomes the starting point for another.

The announcement identifies Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle and Jisung as the members participating in this release.

‘Boogie Woogie’ Leads the New Album

“Boogie Woogie” will introduce the project as its title track, with nine additional songs completing the album.

The initial announcement establishes the release date, track count and overall theme. It does not yet provide a detailed description of the lead single’s sound or the complete track list.

For now, the album’s central promise is a connection between the group’s shared history and its next musical direction.

All tracks are scheduled to arrive on major music platforms at 6 p.m. KST on November 9.

From ‘Chewing Gum’ to a Tenth-Anniversary Release

NCT DREAM debuted in August 2016 with “Chewing Gum,” introducing a youthful identity built around bright music and energetic performance.

Subsequent releases including “My First and Last,” “Hot Sauce,” “Hello Future,” “Candy,” “ISTJ” and “BTTF” have given that identity different musical expressions.

The new album revisits the theme running through that catalog: growing up while continuing to imagine what comes next.

A sixth studio album gives the group a substantial format for exploring that idea, rather than limiting its anniversary statement to a single song.

Editor’s Note: Growth Has Been Part of NCT DREAM’s Story From the Start

SM’s original description of NCT DREAM’s 2017 single album The First presented the act as a team composed entirely of teenagers.

The same official listing recalled the hoverboard choreography of “Chewing Gum” and its bright teen-pop presentation. “My First and Last” followed as the next step in that early story.

Those details provide useful context for DREAM AFTER DREAM. Youth and growth were part of the group’s identity from its earliest releases, making a tenth-anniversary album an opportunity to revisit an established theme from a different stage of life.

From an editorial perspective, the interest lies in how the new songs will connect those beginnings with the members’ present ambitions. The November 9 release will provide the fullest answer.
