Two of the biggest stars in the Korean entertainment industry are officially heading to the mound to kick off an exciting weekend of professional baseball. On July 2, 2026, the popular professional baseball team, the LG Twins, announced that TWICE’s Nayeon and singer-actress BIBI have been selected as the official ceremonial first pitch throwers for their upcoming home weekend series against the Hanwha Eagles at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul.

TWICE’s Nayeon and BIBI Return for Their Third Pitches

Both superstars are no strangers to the Jamsil mound, as this weekend marks the third time each artist will throw an opening pitch for an LG Twins home game.

Nayeon is scheduled to take the mound first on Saturday, July 4. Having previously thrown successful opening pitches for the team in May 2016 and April 2018, the beloved TWICE center shared her excitement about returning after a long time:

“I am so incredibly happy to return to Jamsil Baseball Stadium for another first pitch. Even though the weather is getting very hot, I sincerely hope that all the players stay healthy, avoid injuries, and put on a fantastic game for the fans.”

Fresh off completing a massive, record-breaking stadium world tour with TWICE, Nayeon is currently preparing for the tour’s grand finale, with a highly anticipated domestic encore concert scheduled for later this July.

Following Nayeon, multi-talented singer and actress BIBI will take over the mound on Sunday, July 5. This will also be her third time supporting the team, following her previous appearances in August 2023 and September 2025. BIBI shared a warm message ahead of her weekend appearance:

“It is a true honor to greet everyone once again as a first pitcher for the LG Twins. Because this is my third time, I felt even more excited on my way to the stadium today. I can’t wait to join the fans in cheering for the LG players who are giving their absolute best in this hot summer weather.”

BIBI, who continues to show off her charms across music, television variety shows, and acting, is currently in the middle of active promotions for her brand-new single, “BUMPA.”

The weekend kicks off on Friday, July 3, with “Hello Kitty Brand Day,” where the iconic global character Hello Kitty will surprise fans by taking the mound for the opening pitch.
