"The Wailing" director Na Hong-jin's "Hope" is headed home. The sci-fi thriller from Neon got a lot of buzz, both positive and negative, when it premiered at Cannes. After some criticism, the Cannes cut was trimmed before it hit theaters in September. Now, here we are in October, and "Hope" will be available to rent or buy on digital, and available for Blu-Ray pre-order, starting Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

"Hope" is "sin the remote South Korean village of Hope Harbor," and "follows police outpost chief Bum-seok and officer Sung-ae as they investigate a series of violent attacks believed to be the work of a mysterious creature lurking in the nearby forest. As local hunters join the search, the line between predator and prey begins to blur, revealing a story that challenges assumptions about fear, humanity, and the unknown."

The cast includes Hwang Jung-min, Zo In-sung, Hoyeon, Taylor Russell, Cameron Britton, Alicia Vikander, and Michael Fassbender.
